Reminders:

The Regional Scientific Review Committee approval for projects requiring "pre-approval" MUST be obtained BEFORE conducting any part of the experiment--if this is not done then a project will not be allowed to compete in the Fair.

RGV RSEF registration is done through STEM Wizard for the project paperwork. Students must be forwarded from a district or organizational Fair through STEM Wizard. If a student from a non-participating educational institution wants to participate, they should contact the Fair by emailing Tim Sears, Regional Director.

Students and/or adult sponsors MUST complete registration and setup at UTRGV Brownsville Campus for the fair on February 16, 2024 between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM.  Students/sponsors MUST bring their project board with any materials (including computers) that will be displayed. Final review of project paperwork and the display is done ONLY at this time.

On the day of competition, February 17, 2024, students MUST be at projects by 8:30 a.m. ready for the judges to interview the students.  Students must be present to compete--including team members just like State and International competitions.  All materials and paperwork must be reviewed prior to this time--no Safety or SRC committee will be available to check projects on February 17, 2024.

Remember that the RGV Regional Science and Engineering Fair is the qualifying competition for the Texas State Science  and Engineering Fair at Texas A&M College Station.
