The 2024 Fair will be the 64th consecutive annual Science and Engineering Fair competition for South Texas.

We are interested in getting information from individuals who may have competed in early Fairs or were instrumental in setting up the Fairs.

Competition in the 1990s was hosted by the Harlingen Elks Lodge and Harlingen CISD and transferred to the University of Texas at Brownsville in 2001.  UTRGV has continued to host and co-sponsor the regional fair to the present time.

Please contact Roni Rentfro if you have any historical information and/or pictures to share.

The Rio Grande Regional Science and Engineering Fair is directly affiliated with the International Science and Engineering Fair. More information about ISEF can be found at the Society for Science and the Public ISEF FAQ.
